TWSC: Joint Declaration on the Protection of the Wadden Sea

The Joint Declaration on the Protection of the Wadden Sea underpins the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation, established in 1978 as an agreement between Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark to cooperate in the protection of the Wadden Sea ecosystem. The current version of the Joint Declaration was adopted in 2010, replacing the previous agreement that had been signed in 1982. The Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation is supported by the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS), based in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
